Deauville-La Touques will step into a different rhythm on Tuesday, 23rd December, as winter racing blends with seasonal spectacle on the Polytrack. From 1:55pm to 6:00pm, an eight-race card will unfold under the glow of the festive period, with the course dressed in Christmas charm as part of celebrations running from 20 December 2025 to 2 January 2026. At the heart of the afternoon lie two feature contests:

Race 1, the Prix de Giverny (Class 2) worth €50,900, and Race 3, the Prix Arcangues – Polytrack Challenge, a Listed race carrying €47,600 in prize money. Adding ceremony to competition, France Galop will present a commemorative memento to the winning owner in both races, reinforcing the sense of occasion on a day where quality and tradition converge.

The afternoon will open decisively at 1:55pm with Race 1 – the Prix de Giverny, a Class 2 contest over 1900 metres that assembles a full field of 16 runners for the day’s highest purse of €50,900. Framed as an early statement of intent, the race will demand composure and tactical control on the Polytrack, with the added distinction of a France Galop presentation to the winning owner reinforcing its prominence.

Contenders: CELESTIAL, CICCIO BOY, LOVE IS GOLD, DARI RIVER, DIVIDE AND RULE, SOEUR, BRAMANS, ALLURRE, SOUS LA NEIGE along with a few more.

At 2:30pm, the focus will shift to three-year-olds in Race 2 – the Prix du Marché de Noël de Deauville, a 1500-metre claiming race featuring 11 contenders and offering €22,100. The contest fits neatly into the festive theme of the meeting while serving as a practical test of speed and progression.

The card’s second pillar arrives at 3:05pm with Race 3 – the Prix Arcangues – Polytrack Challenge. This Listed race, run over a demanding 2500 metres, will feature nine runners competing for €47,600. Stamina, balance, and patience will be central, and as with the opener, France Galop will honour the winning owner with a commemorative memento, underlining the race’s status.

Contenders: PENTAOUR, RAIMONDIN, SEA JUST IN TIME, FOXTROT ZULU, AQUA AUGUSTA, WAR OF DANCE and couple of others.

Staying ability will remain in focus at 3:40pm with Race 4 – the Prix de l’Hermeraie, a 2500-metre maiden drawing 14 runners and carrying €20,100. It is a race likely to reward resolve rather than speed.

At 4:15pm, Race 5 – the Prix de Bourgeauville will return attention to claiming company. Run over 1900 metres as a claiming event for three-year-olds, the race will feature 12 contenders and offer €18,200, maintaining competitive pressure through the middle of the card.

Depth and numbers will define Race 6 – the Prix du Pont Japonais at 4:50pm. This Class 3 contest over 1900 metres brings together 16 runners for €19,200, placing emphasis on race positioning and rhythm.

The tempo will remain unchanged at 5:25pm with Race 7 – the Prix du Jardin d’Eau, another Class 3 over 1900 metres, again attracting 16 runners and offering €21,100.

The meeting will conclude at 6:00pm with Race 8 – the Prix de l’Atelier des Nymphéas, a Class 3 contest over 1900 metres worth €25,900. With 16 runners set to line up, the finale is expected to reflect the day’s defining theme: competitive depth sustained from start to finish.

Deauville’s Tuesday fixture may sit within the winter calendar, but it is built with clarity and intent. Anchored by two feature races, reinforced by full fields, and elevated by France Galop’s ceremonial touch, the card promises substance, structure, and unmistakable purpose on the Polytrack.
