Speed Meets Stamina in a Packed Eight-Race Deauville Programme

Racing fans at Deauville will enjoy a full eight-race programme on Thursday, 29 January, featuring a mixture of apprentice events, staying contests, and sprint races across the Polytrack. The Deauville Race Cards 29 January showcase a diverse lineup, highlighting both stamina and speed in a tightly scheduled evening of racing.

The meeting will open at 16:32 with the Prix Claude Leponner (Champ. Paris Turf des Apprentis & Jeunes Jockeys), run over 2,500 metres for a prize of €14,600. Contenders in this opening race include Odin Normandy, Lanceur d’Alerte, John Wick, and Recoletty. This race will test the young riders over a staying distance and could provide an early indication of form for the evening.

At 17:07, the Prix de la Villa Maritime will cover 2,500 metres for €20,200. The line-up features Octane, Greymara, Betise, and Bobby Jean. Stamina and race positioning will be key in this extended middle-distance contest.

The Prix des Docks Vauban at 17:42 is another 2,500-metre staying event with a prize of €22,100. Misterwinner, Samwest, Larlib, and Ram Sea will tackle this distance, where judgment of pace and energy conservation is expected to be decisive.

Middle-distance action follows at 18:20 in the Prix de Pegasus Bridge, run over 1,900 metres for €24,000. Contenders Quemazal, Tasteful, Renad, and La Justiciere will face a tactical contest that emphasizes well-timed acceleration and balance around the turns.

Sprint racing begins at 18:55 with the Prix de Vieux-La-Romaine over 1,300 metres, carrying €24,700 in prize money. Reve Sur le Nil, Remenber Chope, Dubaiearth, and Vathana will compete in a fast-paced, short-distance test of speed.

The Prix d’Aregenua at 19:27 will also be contested over 1,300 metres for €24,700. Hello Carel, Taradif, Alhaeba, and Angel Dreamer are expected to produce a closely matched sprint performance.

At 19:59, the Prix de la Cance, a 1,500-metre event with €15,400 in prize money, will feature Exact, Sorengo, Kelly Key, and Lattaash. This middle-distance race rewards a combination of early speed and staying power.

The card concludes at 20:30 with the Prix de Neufbourg, run over 1,400 metres for €16,500. Zangar, Vibrato, Red Gust, and Allez Didi will complete the evening, rounding off a well-balanced programme that tests a variety of racing skills.
