Trained by the accomplished Arjun Mangalorkar and ridden with precision by Aleemuddin, Crosswater completed the 1400-meter contest in 1:26.84, holding off a late challenge and cementing a career-defining victory.
The race unfolded with a steady early pace, but it was in the final 300 meters that Crosswater began to assert dominance. Aleemuddin’s timing was impeccable, urging the gelding to the front with a measured move that left rivals scrambling. This win marks a significant feather in the cap for both jockey and trainer, who have consistently produced competitive performances at this level.
Hot on Crosswater’s heels was the gutsy filly KAVYA, partnered by experienced jockey N. S. Parmar and trained by M. K. Jadhav. Despite a valiant effort in the final stretch, Kavya was forced to settle for second, crossing the post in 1:27.11, just a fraction behind the winner.
