The seventh race of the day, The Jimmy Umrigar Trophy Div II, a 1400-metre maiden contest for three-year-old Indian horses, unfolded on Sunday, 12th October 2025, at 04:45 PM at Pune Racecourse. In a commanding performance, Conjurer (J: Antony Raj S., T: B. Prithviraj) delivered a decisive win for owners Mr Cheriyan Abraham and Mrs Smita Bajoria representing Cherie Sports Private Limited, clocking an impressive 1:25:154 to secure his first career victory.

From the break, Conjurer positioned prominently, maintaining a stalking line behind the early pace setters before producing a sharp, well-timed turn of foot approaching the 400-metre marker. Antony Raj S. guided the filly with patience and precision, allowing her to hit the front in the final furlong and surge clear for a stylish triumph that highlighted both composure and acceleration beyond typical maiden company.

The runner-up position was claimed by Claude (J: A. Sandesh, T: Adhiraj Singh Jodha), who stayed close throughout and finished strongly in 1:25:349, unable to match the winner’s finishing burst. Her Charge (J: Bhawani Singh, T: Karthik Ganapathy) closed late to take third place in 1:25:823, rounding out a competitive top three separated by fine margins.

With the Jimmy Umrigar Trophy Div II concluded, attention quickly turns to the eagerly awaited Vinayak Salver, scheduled for 05:15 PM, promising another exciting chapter in Pune’s tenth day of racing.
