Others like INCREMENTAL, MISS DYNAMITE and SITJAR will be hoping to spring an early surprise. A strong opener that should set the rhythm for the day.

A souvenir will be offered to the owner of the winning horse by the Société des Courses de Compiègne.

Race 2: PRIX DE PONT-SAINT-MAXENCE (2:27pm, 2400 metres)

The second race brings Class 3 colts, geldings and fillies with €21,000 on offer. NATIVE IRISH, PRETTY QUEEN and REACH THE STARS  seem well placed to put up a bold show, while MISTRESS, LADY DANBURY and CLEOPATRE could challenge strongly if things fall in their favor. Expect a lively finish to keep the afternoon rolling.

Race 3: PRIX DES VINEUX (2:59pm, 2400 metres)

The third race lines up 3-year-old colts, geldings and fillies, giving another competitive group their chance to shine. GWO KA, SCENT OF A WOMAN and DSCHINGIS POWER are among the ones to watch, while               RAW ENERGY, MADIBA and SILVER TOWER have the experience to keep things close at the finish. This one should be run at a good tempo.

Race 4: PRIX DE CARLEPONT (3:31pm, 1800 metres)

Race four is a maiden quest carrying € 27,400, where SCOFIELD, ARTILLEUR and RIPLEY will look to assert themselves in the mid-card. NAOMIS, FRATERNITE, ZOULIKA and ARKENSTONE

add depth to the field and could make this an exciting clash.

Race 5: PRIX DE VERBERIE (4:03pm, 1800 metres)

The fifth race is often a turning point in the afternoon and this € 18,300 worthy Class 3 contest has a wide-open look. AMBRA ANTICA, RAIDEN and PUNICA should be competitive, but CAHAGNES, CHRISTINE and BELLE LUMIERE may be ready to peak here. A fascinating contest before we move to the closing stages.

Race 6: PRIX DE MERCIERES (4:35pm, 1400 metres)

The sixth race brings horses, geldings and mares of 4 years and over where crew dragon, danelo and donamay appear capable of producing a strong run, though AGAT, CIOTOLA and ROSE ACADEMY could be right there if they jump well. This one could go right down to the wire. Stakes: € 18,200

Race 7: PRIX DE L’ABBAYE SAINT-CORNEILLE (5:07pm, 2000 metres)

The seventh race is a € 20,100 worthy maiden contest, where late-running types like ARABIAN FEVER, ESPRIT DE LA FORET and GRAND CHELEM could come into play.             SHIVA FLOWER, REBECCA ROSE and CALOUNIYA will be out to ensure a strong pace and keep the competition honest.

Race 8: PRIX DE L’AISNE (5:39pm, 2800 metres)

The penultimate race of the day features horses and mares aged 4 and over where MEHLANGO, SPINELLO and IT’S EAGLE will try to land a late strike. YOOX, MISURINA and AUTEUR are also in with a chance, promising a competitive build-up to the finale. Stakes: € 25,900

Race 9: PRIX DU GRAND PARC (6:10pm, 2800 metres)

The day’s action closes with horses and mares aged 4 and over taking the centre stage with € 20,000 up for grabs. BARBADIN, KING KARA and CAPTAIN CROCHET are looking to sign off with a win, while NINJA WARRIOR, SUMMER WAY and NEOWISE could spoil the party with a big late run. A fitting way to wrap up an entertaining day at Compiègne.

As the last race is decided, Compiègne will once again have offered a day of variety, drama, and top-quality racing.
