The curtain came down on a lively day of racing at Mysore Race Club with the seventh and final race — The Abide Plate — delivering one last thrilling finish. The 1200-meter handicap, for horses rated 20 to 45, was flagged off at 5:00 PM and carried a total prize purse of Rs. 4,50,000, with the winner earning Rs. 2,25,000.

Vandhiyathevan, trained by K S Mandanna and ridden to perfection by C. Umesh, timed his run to perfection to capture the race in a well-fought photo-finish, stopping the clock at 1:11.681. It was a strong and determined effort from the gelding to clinch victory and close the day on a winning note.

Finishing second was Mark One, guided by Shankar Lal H and trained by Bobby M, who gave a commendable chase to the winner but had to settle for the runner-up spot, clocking 1:12.704.

Rounding out the top three was To Hot To Touch, piloted by Abhishek Mhatre and trained by M Pratap Kamath, who crossed the line in 1:12.991 after a spirited performance.

With the sun setting over Mysore, the result board now stands testament to a race day that delivered rising stars, closely contested finishes, and plenty of excitement for racing fans.
