The Cradle of the Deep Handicap, the second race of the day at RCTC, saw Clever Hans storm to victory in the 1200-meter sprint. Ridden by Suraj Narredu, who completed a back-to-back double after winning the opening race, and trained by Vikash Jaiswal, the gelding clocked 1:12.640 to secure the Rs. 2,75,000 winner’s purse at 5/1 odds.
Following closely in second was Mighty Zo, partnered by Arman Khan and trained by Rutherford Alford. The pair delivered a commendable performance, finishing in 1:13.085 at 12/1 odds.
Taking third was the heavily backed Gimmler, the tote favorite, ridden by Imran Chisty and also trained by Rutherford Alford. The duo, who had already featured in the first race, settled for third with a time of 1:13.760 at 9/20 odds.
