The 15th day of the Mysore Monsoon Races 2025 opened in fine style on Sunday, 26 October, as Race 1 — The Royal Calcutta Turf Club Trophy (Div II), a Class IV event for horses rated 20 to 45 aged five years and above, unfolded over 1100 metres at 1:00 PM. In an electrifying start to the afternoon, Chisox (J: Aleemuddin) stormed home in 1:06.070 for trainer K. Pradeep Annaiah, delivering a commanding victory for owners Dr. C. N. Devayya, M/s Abhishek Nagaraj, M. Sudheer Reddy, and Mohammed Abdul Raheem.

Breaking sharply and maintaining rhythm through the early strides, Chisox tracked the leaders before unleashing a decisive turn of foot in the final furlong. Aleemuddin timed his run to perfection, steering Chisox clear of the pack and securing a confident win under urging. The victory marked a strong start to the day for trainer Annaiah’s stable, showcasing both preparation and precision in execution.

Sunway Lagoon (J: H. Rahul, T: Surender G. T) chased valiantly to finish second, clocking 1:06.126, narrowly missing the top spot after a spirited stretch duel. Close behind came N R I Millennium (J: Imran Chisty, T: Md. Sajid Qureshi) in third, stopping the clock at 1:07.024 to complete a tightly contested finish among the top three.

With the opener setting the tone for an exciting afternoon, racing enthusiasts now turn their attention to The Delhi Race Club Trophy, scheduled next at 1:30 PM, promising more thrilling action from Mysore Racecourse.
