The final act of the 20th Day of the Hyderabad Monsoon Races 2025 concluded in style with the 9th Race, The Royal Calcutta Turf Club Cup Div II, a Class II handicap over 1200 meters for horses aged three years and upward, rated 60 to 85. CHERIE CHEVALIER (J: P. Sai Kumar, T: K S V Prasad Raju) delivered a commanding performance for owners Mr Seshadri Reddy Pochana, Mrs Smita Bajoria, Mr Bollineni Krishnaiah, Dr Teegala Vijender Reddy, Ms Teegala Sumant Reddy & Pochana Arjun Reddy, storming home in 1:13.525 to cap a memorable day at Hyderabad Race Club.

From the gates, CHERIE CHEVALIER settled in a prominent position, biding time as the pace set by the field ebbed and flowed. With a decisive burst approaching the final 300 meters, P. Sai Kumar angled the gelding through a tight gap along the rail, showcasing both agility and acceleration. The crowd erupted as CHERIE CHEVALIER surged ahead in the closing strides, leaving no doubts about her superiority in this competitive division.

The runner-up spot was claimed by N R I SPORT (J: H. M. Akshay, T: M Srinivas Reddy) in 1:14.028, who pressed the winner valiantly throughout the stretch but had to settle for second. TIMELESS VISION (J: A. Sandesh, T: Adhiraj Singh Jodha) completed the trifecta in 1:14.438, showing late determination to secure third place after a steady run throughout the race.
