The Chelmsford City Race Cards 8 January present a competitive seven-race all-weather programme scheduled for Thursday evening, with racing set to take place under lights. The meeting offers a balanced combination of maiden, classified, and handicap contests, testing speed, stamina, and tactical positioning across a wide range of distances.

The evening will begin at 5:30pm with THE £99 ANNUAL PASS RESTRICTED MAIDEN STAKES (CLASS 5), a six-furlong contest featuring 12 runners and prize money of £8,500. This opening race will showcase developing performers, with Gennadius, Special Acclaim, Evenepoel, and Roccobear among the runners listed for the start of the card.

At 6:00pm, attention will turn to THE CURRY AND RACING NEXT THURSDAY CLASSIFIED STAKES (CLASS 6). Run over six furlongs, the race has attracted 12 runners competing for £7,000 in prize money. The classified format places emphasis on recent performance levels, with Dequinto, Dubai Magic, Flicka’s Girl, and Isla Bella included among the entries.

The third race on the programme, THE 7TH MARCH UK GARAGE RACEDAY HANDICAP STAKES (CLASS 6), is scheduled for 6:30pm and will also be contested over six furlongs. Nine runners are set to compete for a £7,000 prize fund, with Roman Emperor, Smasher, Dion Baker, and Analytical Engine forming part of the field.

Stamina becomes a key factor in the fourth event at 7:00pm, THE EASTER FESTIVAL FAMILY DAY HANDICAP STAKES (CLASS 6). This race is run over one mile, five furlongs, and 66 yards and features 10 runners competing for £7,000. Haliphon, Arenas Del Tiempo, Hedonista, and Power Quest are among the names entered for this extended-distance contest.

Sprint racing returns at 7:30pm with THE COSY DINING IN THE FAIRWOOD BRASSERIE HANDICAP STAKES (CLASS 5). Contested over five furlongs, the race includes eight runners and carries prize money of £8,500. Lequinto, Mumayaz, General Assembly, and Fiorella Princess are listed among the participants.

The sixth race at 8:00pm, THE FREE RACING ALL JANUARY HANDICAP STAKES (CLASS 4), is the highest-class event on the card. Five runners will line up over one mile for a prize fund of £10,000, with Plantadream, Champagne Powder, Nordic Norm, and High On Hope all included in the field.

The Chelmsford City meeting will conclude at 8:30pm with THE HIRE EXCLUSIVE SPACES FOR UNFORGETTABLE EVENTS HANDICAP STAKES (CLASS 6). Run over one mile and two furlongs, the final race features nine runners competing for £7,000. Silkies Sib, Beachborough Girl, Pure Theory, and Noss Mayo are among those named to bring the seven-race programme to a close.
