The third race on the sixth day of the Bangalore Summer Meeting saw Challenge Accepted make an emphatic statement, clinching The Udhagamandalam Plate, a 1200-meter sprint for maiden three-year-olds. Partnered by top jockey A. Sandesh and trained by Adhsingh Jodha, the promising youngster delivered a sharp and decisive run to claim their maiden victory in fine fashion.

This race, held at 3:00 PM, carried a total purse of Rs. 11,00,000, and was expected to be a tightly run affair given the presence of several well-regarded juveniles. Challenge Accepted lived up to expectations, breaking cleanly and producing a strong finish down the final stretch to secure the win with a touch of authority.

Coming in a close second was Flaming Sword, guided by the experienced Neeraj Rawal and trained by S. Dominic. Flaming Sword remained competitive throughout and was briefly threatening to snatch the lead, but had to settle for the runner-up spot in the closing stages.

Completing the top three was Doncaster Belle, piloted by S. Saqlain and trained by the seasoned Darius R. Byramji, who ran on well to finish with merit in third place.

The Udhagamandalam Plate proved to be another exciting contest on a day that’s already seen a string of impressive maiden performances at BTC. With the youngsters continuing to impress, anticipation now builds for the fourth race of the day – The S. G. Madhukar Memorial Trophy.
