The popular northern venue, Carlisle Racecourse, will host a competitive seven-race Flat programme on Monday, 15 June, with more than £52,000 in prize money scheduled to be distributed across juvenile, sprint, middle-distance and staying contests. The afternoon fixture will commence at 1:40pm and conclude at 4:58pm, featuring fields of up to 14 runners and distances ranging from 5f 182y to 1m 6f 67y. The opening race at 1:40pm will be a Restricted Maiden Stakes (Class 4) for two-year-olds over 5f 182y with £10,000 in prize money on offer. A field of 10 runners is expected to line up, including King of Persia, Mr de Maggs, Peggy’s Lad, Right Up My Ali, Aurora Valkyrie and Bluestone Lady. The contest will provide an early opportunity for juvenile runners to begin their racing careers and gain valuable experience.

The second event at 2:10pm will be a Class 6 Handicap – Division I over 5f 182y for horses aged three years and older. Carrying a prize fund of £6,500, the sprint is expected to attract nine runners, with Invincible Ruby, Ramon di Loria, Rambuso Creek, Rain Cap, Sunlit Sea and Jack Rabbit Slims among the anticipated participants. The race will offer another sharp test of early pace and acceleration.

A sizeable field of 14 runners is expected, headed by Gentle Warrior, Ouro Preto, So Alex, Banderas, Torcello and Circuit Breaker. The race is expected to attract 12 runners, including Union Island, Soames Forsyte, Gainsbourg, Between Me And U, Hostility and Bellasio. A field of 10 runners is expected to take part, with Pickersgill, Albeseeingyer, Blufferonthebus, Amelia’s Joy, Sandy Craic and Sailor’s Return among those set to compete.
