The Australian Turf Club will stage a seven-race meeting at Canterbury Park on Wednesday, 12 August 2026, with the programme scheduled to begin at 1:25pm and conclude at 4:55pm. The card will feature races over distances ranging from 1100m to 1900m, with prize money of $60,000 available for six contests and $100,000 for the opening race. The programme will include events for three-year-olds, three-year-old fillies, horses aged three years and upwards, and runners aged five years and upwards.

The afternoon will begin with THE CAPTIVANT @ VINERY STUD HANDICAP at 1:25pm. The 1200m contest will be restricted to three-year-olds and will carry $100,000 in prize money. Threads, Lorax, Cantero, Onthetoe and Our Turbo will be among the expected runners, with additional contenders set to complete the field. The sprint will provide an early test of speed and race positioning.

Next on the programme will be THE TAB HANDICAP at 2:00pm. The race will cover 1200m for three-year-old fillies and will carry $60,000. Wanda’s Spark, Sing Your Song, Affari, Caloocan Beauty and Moonlit Wings will be among the expected runners. The younger fillies will face another competitive sprinting test over the same distance as the opening event.

At 2:35pm, THE IRRESISTIBLE POOLS AND SPAS HANDICAP will provide the longest-distance contest of the meeting. The race will cover 1900m for three-year-olds and upwards and will carry $60,000 in prize money. Cheval De Bois, Sister Daae, Supreme Sovereign, Equinox Legend and Craft will be among the expected runners. The extended journey will place greater emphasis on stamina and the ability to maintain a consistent rhythm.

The fourth race will be THE AGENCY REAL ESTATE HANDICAP at 3:10pm. Three-year-olds and upwards will contest the 1250m race for $60,000. Cando Attitude, Oakfield Neptune, Written Scandal, Kakadu Sunset, Rileycat and Totoka will be among the named runners. The 1250m distance will provide a test requiring both early pace and sufficient strength for the closing stages.

The fifth contest will be THE CHASE THE DREAM HANDICAP at 3:45pm. The race will again cover 1250m for three-year-olds and upwards and will carry $60,000. Yoshinobu, Monte Veebee, Rivendell, Clancy and Condone will be among the expected runners, alongside further contenders. The field will need to secure an effective position before producing a sustained effort towards the finish.

At 4:20pm, THE PRECISE AIR HANDICAP will bring the older horses into focus over 1100m. The race will be restricted to horses aged five years and upwards and will carry $60,000. Inoue, Bremel, Zale, Sir Franklin and Miss Trentino will be among the expected runners. The shorter distance will make early speed and tactical positioning important factors in the contest.

The meeting will conclude at 4:55pm with THE RANVET HANDICAP, which will cover 1550m for three-year-olds and upwards and will carry $60,000. Voracious, Anthracite, Barking Mad, Appeared and Forecaster will be among the expected runners. The closing race will offer a contrasting challenge to the sprint contests, with the 1550m distance requiring a combination of pace, balance and stamina.

Canterbury Park Race Cards 12 August will feature seven races between 1:25pm and 4:55pm, with the Australian Turf Club programme covering distances from 1100m to 1900m and offering prize money ranging from $60,000 to $100,000.
