The Calcutta Races, Autumn Meeting, opened up thrilling action on Thursday, 23rd October 2025, and the excitement peaked in the 3rd Race, The Starry Flag Handicap, a Class V contest for horses rated 1-26 over 1400 metres at 2:45 PM. Dance Along (J: Suraj Narredu) delivered an authoritative performance, racing for owners M/s United Racing & Bloodstock Breeders Ltd and Mr Rajesh Narredu, stopping the clock at 1:27.699 to claim a stylish victory.
From the outset, Dance Along settled comfortably in the mid-division, tracking the leaders before unleashing a decisive turn of foot approaching the final 300 metres. Guided expertly by jockey Suraj Narredu, the winner angled through a tight gap along the inside, accelerating with precision to assert dominance in the final strides and secure the finish with clear authority.
Keitaro (J: Imran Chisty, T: Rutherford Alford) pressed hard throughout and finished strongly to take second place in 1:28.776, while Sporting Jean Lafette (J: R Vaibhav, T: B Mahesh) closed steadily for third, completing the course in 1:28.893. The top three were separated by just over a second, highlighting the competitive nature of the race.
