The fifth race of the Calcutta Autumn Meeting on Sunday, 16th November 2025, produced a thrilling spectacle as THE MAYFOWL CUP, a contest for horses aged four years and above over 1400 metres at 03:00 PM, witnessed a commanding performance from Trakila. The Calcutta race result November 16 saw Trakila (J: P. Trevor, T: Aashay Doctor) storm to an emphatic victory for owners Mrs Rina Mahindra, Mrs Menaka Gupta, Mr Solomon Benveniste, Mr Marthand Singh Mahindra, M/s Deciding Factor LLP, Mr Hemang D Doctor, Mr Achuthan Siddharth & Mr Viral Doctor, stopping the clock at 1:26.818.
Racing prominently throughout, Trakila showcased remarkable tactical acumen. Settling just off the early pace, she bided her time before delivering a decisive surge in the final 300 metres, overtaking the leaders with authority and maintaining composure under mounting pressure to secure a well-earned triumph in front of a lively crowd.
Black Eagle (J: Gaurav Singh, T: B Rajender Reddy) ran a strong race to finish second in 1:27.084, keeping Trakila within striking distance for most of the stretch, while High Command (J: Imran Chisty, T: L V R Deshmukh) closed impressively to claim third in 1:27.604, ensuring the top three were separated by tight margins.
With THE MAYFOWL CUP concluded, the spotlight now shifts to THE CAMBRIDGE HANDICAP DIV I at 03:30 PM, promising another exciting contest as the Autumn Meeting progresses at Calcutta Races.
