The Calcutta Races CHRISTMAS MEETING opened its first afternoon with a sharp burst of excitement as Race 4 — The Xisca Handicap Div II — unfolded over 1200 metres at 2:00 PM. In what added to the evolving narrative of the Calcutta Race Result 6 December, Dubai King delivered a composed and assertive performance to secure the win for trainer Shafiq Khan and owner Mr Mohammed Shakeel, stopping the clock at 1:14.632.

Breaking smartly and settling into stride early, Dubai King travelled comfortably behind the pace in the opening furlongs. When the field straightened up, jockey Shezad Khan angled him out with precision, urging the gelding forward in a sustained drive that carried him past rivals with measured authority. His final surge in the last 100 metres ensured the race was decided in his favour just when the contest tightened.

Cyrenaica — ridden by M. S. Deora for trainer B. Mahesh — finished a whisker behind in 1:14.640, keeping the pressure on the winner all the way to the line. The third spot went to Superimpose under Md Sameer, also trained by Shafiq Khan, clocking 1:14.746 after staying prominently throughout and sticking on gamely in the closing stages.

With the early action wrapped and momentum building, attention now shifts to the upcoming Moon Emperor Cup at 2:30 PM, promising another engaging contest on this festive Calcutta racing card.
