The CHRISTMAS MEETING’s FIRST DAY at Calcutta Racecourse delivered its first major highlight when Race 2 — The Aristotle Handicap (Class III, 41–66; 21–46 eligible) unfolded over a gruelling 2400 metres at 1:00 PM on Saturday, 6th December 2025. In a result that will stand out prominently in the Calcutta Race Result 6 December reports, Star Studded produced a resolute staying performance under R. Vaibhav for trainer Rajesh Narredu, stopping the clock at 2:31.573. The winner carried the colours of Mr Daulat Chhabria, Mr Teja Gollapudi, So Blest Trading Co Pvt Ltd, and Mr Mukul A Sonawala, rewarding a patient ownership group with an emphatic victory.
Star Studded settled smoothly into rhythm early, conserving energy as the field stretched out in the long-distance contest. Approaching the final bend, Vaibhav began to angle the gelding forward, and once in the straight, the pair lengthened stride with authority. The staying power was evident as Star Studded drew away from his rivals, sealing the finish well before the post and leaving no doubt about his superiority over the extended trip.
The runner-up position went to ChampagneSupernova (J: Hasib Alam, T: Aashay Doctor) who clocked 2:33.880 after attempting to bridge the gap late but finding the winner out of reach. Goodwill, partnered by Vishal N Bunde and trained by Neil Darashah, claimed third in 2:36.508, staying on steadily to complete the frame.
With The Aristotle Handicap wrapped up, focus now shifts to the next contest of the afternoon — The Xisca Handicap Div I, scheduled for 1:30 PM, promising another engaging battle at the CHRISTMAS MEETING.
