The Calcutta race result 13 December delivered a brisk contest in Race 3, The Police Martyrs Cup, a Class IV event (Horses rated 21–46; rated 1–26 eligible) run over 1100 metres at 01:30 PM on Saturday, 13th December 2025, during the Christmas Meeting – Second Day. Zalia produced a polished performance to land the honours for trainer Aashay Doctor, with A Prakash executing the plan to perfection, clocking 1:06.087 for owners Dr Ram H Shroff & Mr Raj H Shroff (rep. M/s Stride Livestock Pvt Ltd) & Mr Chetan Shah.
Breaking smartly, Zalia was quickly into stride and settled comfortably as the pace developed, travelling smoothly through the early exchanges. Turning for home, A Prakash angled the filly into clear running, and Zalia responded with a sharp change of gear to assert decisively inside the final furlong, holding the advantage under confident handling.
The chase was led by City of Joy (J: Vishal N Bunde, T: Sabeel Shariff), who stayed on resolutely to finish second in 1:06.658, while Winsangel (J: M S Deora, T: B Mahesh) plugged on gamely to take third in 1:06.785, with all three closely matched on the line.
With Race 3 in the books, attention now turns to the Mounted Police Cup at 02:00 PM, as the Calcutta card continues to build toward its afternoon highlights.
