The Royal Calcutta Turf Club (RCTC) has officially announced the commencement of the Calcutta Monsoon Meeting 2025, which will open on Tuesday, 29th July, 2025. The iconic racing season at the historic Kolkata venue will stretch over two months and conclude on Sunday, 28th September, 2025—featuring a total of 10 race days packed with action, tradition, and high-stakes competition.This year’s Monsoon Meeting will see 61 races conducted, including 15 Cup events that highlight the mid-year racing calendar in Eastern India. The advertised total stake money for the meeting stands at a robust Rs. 3.86 crores, with Cups and Trophies valued at an additional Rs. 4.95 lakhs. RCTC has also announced a 20% bonus stake for horses trained by ‘A’ licensed trainers in all non-sweepstakes, handicap, and juvenile events.

The Calcutta Monsoon Meeting 2025 will reach its climax on September 28, when two of the most prestigious races—the Calcutta Monsoon Derby and the Monsoon Cup—are scheduled.
