BTC organised a press conference in this context today (May 15th 2025) at club premises which was presided over by Chairman and Senior Steward of club R. Manjunath Ramesh while other office bearers including steward K.A Jagadish, managing committee members K. Harish Nayak, B. Dayanand R.Mandre, CEO cum secretary Kiran M.K were also present.

Coming to the racing schedule, the opening event on May 17th is The Ich Dien Plate, a handicap race over 1200 meters for horses rated 00-25, featuring a field of eleven runners competing for a total purse of Rs. 4,50,000. Notable contenders include MEHRA (Jockey: Rayan Ahmed R., Trainer: Pradeep Annaiah), EMERALDO (J: G. Praveen, T: Pradeep Annaiah), QUEEN BEANDAZ (J: A. Sandesh, T: S. Inayathulla), and ESTEFANIA (J: Aleemuddin, T: Arjun Mangalorkar).

At 3:00 PM, seasoned campaigners aged five and above will contest The Kunigal Stud Plate over 1400 meters. The total stakes for this race amount to Rs. 6,30,000. The feature event of the day, The B.T.C. Charitable Trust Trophy, reserved for top-class runners rated 80 and above, will unfold at 4:00 PM over a sharp sprint of 1200 meters. With stakes of ₹11,00,000, the winner will take home Rs. 5,50,000 along with the coveted trophy worth ₹30,000 presented by the Bangalore Turf Club Ltd. Among the prime contenders are STAR GLORY (J: Yash Narredu, T: S. Narredu), IMPERIAL BLUE (J: Pavan, T: Irfan Ghatala), and METZINGER (J: S. Saqlain, T: G.Y. Rajesh Babu).

At 4:30 PM, middle-distance specialists rated 20-45 will contest The Welcome Plate over 1400 meters, featuring a competitive field vying for a purse of Rs. 5,10,000. SEE THE LIGHT (J: P. Trevor, T: S.S. Attaollahi), VERRAZZANO (J: Yash Narredu, T: S. Narredu), and ECLIPSE PULSE (J: Imran Chisty, T: Azhar Ali) are among notable entrants.

Concluding the exciting card is The Racing Patrons Plate, scheduled for 5:00 PM, showcasing horses rated 40-65 competing over 1200 meters.
