The penultimate contest of an action-packed race day at Bangalore Turf Club on June 8, 2025, saw Lux Aeterna shine bright in The Diablo Plate, a competitive 1400-meter handicap for horses rated 20 to 45. The race, scheduled at 4:30 PM, carried a purse of ₹5,10,000 and witnessed a thrilling finish among a strong field of contenders.
Trained by the seasoned S. S. Attaollahi and ridden smartly by Ramswarup, Lux Aeterna delivered a fluent performance to clinch the top spot. Showing excellent balance and timing of 1:25:15, the filly surged forward in the final furlong, asserting clear dominance and leaving no doubt about the result.
Running a bold race in second was Money Bags, piloted by P. Trevor and saddled by Prasanna Kumar. Money Bags remained in striking distance throughout and put up a gritty fight but couldn’t catch the eventual winner in the final strides as it finished the race in 1:25.33.
Completing the top three was Monterio, partnered by S. Hinayathulla and trained by Pradeep Annaiah. Monterio showed consistency and kept on steadily to secure a deserved third-place finish in a closely contested final burst to time in 1:25.72.
