The second race on Day 1 of the Pune Meeting 2025, The Elegance Plate Division II, featured a competitive class V handicap over 1200 metres for Indian horses aged four years and above. With a winners’ purse of ₹5,00,000, Bohemian Rhapsody lived up to expectations by winning in a tightly contested finish, clocking 1:10.446.
Trained by Hosidar Daji and ridden by Aditya Waydande, Bohemian Rhapsody is owned by Mr Zaheer Lalkaka, Mr Vikram Bachhawat (rep. Bachhawat Farms Pvt Ltd), Mr Homi D. Bhagwagar, Mr Arzaan H. Bhagwagar, and Mr Hosidar Daji. The performance reflected solid form and conditioning going into the new season.
Purple Martini, trained by Sanjay Kolse and partnered by Nirmal Jodha, clocked 1:10:654, and took the runner-up spot. Talking Point, trained by Sangramsinh N. Joshi and ridden by S. G. Prasad, recorded a time of 1:11.277 to claim third place.
With two exciting finishes already unfolding on the opening day, the Pune Meeting 2025 continues to build momentum. The attention now moves to the next race on the card, The Vibrant Plate Division II.
