The sixth race of the Calcutta Races Autumn Meeting (Third Day) on Thursday, 6th November 2025, at the Kolkata Racecourse, showcased a thrilling contest in The Hilliard Cup, a Class I race for horses rated 81 and above (61–86 eligible), run over 1200 meters at 3:45 PM. Black Eagle, owned by Mr. Faiz Adam, displayed an electrifying performance under jockey Aleemuddin for trainer B. Rajender Reddy, stopping the clock at 1:12.792 to claim a decisive victory.

From the outset, Black Eagle broke alertly and assumed a prominent position near the front of the field. Maintaining a strong rhythm through the backstretch, Aleemuddin guided the horse with precision, ensuring optimal positioning before the final turn. As the field entered the straight, Black Eagle unleashed a burst of speed, leaving rivals struggling to respond, demonstrating both power and tactical brilliance to secure the win in commanding style.

The runner-up position went to Misty (J: Hindu Singh, T: Aashay Doctor) who finished strongly in 1:12.980, staying close to the winner but ultimately unable to challenge Black Eagle’s surge. King’s Retreat (J: P. Tejeshwar, T: B. Rajender Reddy) took third in 1:13.652, completing a competitive top-three finish in a tightly contested sprint.

With The Hilliard Cup concluded, attention now shifts to the next highlight of the day — The Star Perfection Handicap, scheduled for 4:15 PM, as the Calcutta Autumn Meeting continues to thrill racing fans at Kolkata Racecourse.
