Hyderabad Race Club witnessed an enthralling contest on the 20th day of the Monsoon Races, Sunday, October 05, 2025, as Race 3, THE MADRAS RACE CLUB CUP (Class III: A Handicap for horses aged three years and upward rated 40 to 65) over 1800 meters, delivered a gripping finish. BLACK DUST (4Y DKB G), ridden brilliantly by P. Sai Kumar for trainer K S V Prasad Raju, stormed past the field to record a decisive victory in 1:55.188. The win brought joy to owners Ms Rama Seshu Eyunni, Harinath Reddy Teegala, KSV Prasad Raju, Teegala Sumant Reddy, and Dr Teegala Vijender Reddy.

From the start, BLACK DUST settled confidently in mid-division before making a smooth move approaching the final bend. Displaying a perfect blend of timing and acceleration, the gelding surged to the front in the home straight, leaving competitors chasing for every stride. His tactical versatility and finishing kick proved too strong for the others, underlining his readiness for higher-class challenges.

ONSLAUGHT (3Y B G), guided by Neeraj Rawal and trained by S. A. Raza Shehzad, chased valiantly but had to settle for second in 1:55.850. MISTY NIGHT (3Y B F), under Akshay Kumar for trainer K Satheesh, finished strongly to claim third in 1:56.246, rounding off a closely contested top three.

As the applause for BLACK DUST’s triumph echoed across Hyderabad Race Club, anticipation quickly shifted to THE ROYAL CALCUTTA TURF CLUB CUP DIV I at 2:10 PM, promising another showcase of speed and stamina for racing fans.
