The highlight of the day, the Zavaray S. Poonawalla Juvenile Multi–Million, turned heads at RWITC with a highly competitive 1200-meter dash offering a total prize allocation of Rs.30,00,000. The winner’s share stood at an impressive Rs.18,00,000, drawing a strong field of juveniles to the post.
BISHOP, ridden by jockey A Prakash and trained by P Shroff, delivered a commanding performance to grab first place. The colt timed 1:10:432 and returned odds of 8, showcasing both class and maturity in just 1200 meters of action.
Hot on his heels was VEGATHA, guided by jockey Antony Raj S and trained by P S Chouhan. The runner-up put up a bold bid, finishing in 1:10:466 with odds of 2.60, just a whisker behind the winner.
The third spot went to the tote-favourite, MERLET, piloted by Suraj Narredu and saddled by trainer S Waheed. Though expected to dominate, MERLET clocked in at 1:10:830 and settled for third with odds of 4.25.
It was a race packed with intensity, and the finish reflected the high quality of this field of young contenders.
