Opening the afternoon programme, the Download The Fairplay App Apprentice Handicap Stakes (Class 6) was won by MOON OVER THE SEA for trainer Tony Carroll. Ridden by Myla Coppins and owned by Mr D. J. Oseman, the winner completed the contest in 2m 28.91s after a composed staying effort. ENDOFASTORM finished second, while KNIGHTMARE took third place in the opening race of the card.
Continuing the competitive early sequence, the Silvershine Turf Services Handicap Stakes (Class 6) went to PARTY ISLAND, trained by Denis Coakley and partnered by George Bass. Running in the ownership of Mr A. Killoran, the winner returned a time of 2m 09.07s after travelling smoothly throughout the contest. RATING filled the runner-up position ahead of RAINTOWN in third.
Providing one of the notable maiden performances on the card, the Silvershine Turf Services Support Bath Maiden Stakes (Class 4) (GBB Race) was secured by DANDYMAN DAN for trainer David Evans and jockey Pat Cosgrave. Owned by Eric Griffiths, Mrs T Burns & Partner, the winner showed good pace to stop the clock at 1m 10.42s. LEUCOTHEA finished second, while SOVEREIGN GLORY completed the placings in third.
Producing one of the sharpest sprint displays of the evening, the Mark Futcher Half-Century Handicap Stakes (Class 4) fell to ALVIN. Trained by George Scott and ridden by Darragh Keenan for owners Valmont & Mr M Blencowe, the winner recorded an impressive time of 1m 00.35s. ANGEL NUMBERS stayed on for second, with ARTISTA taking third position.
Adding further strength to the sprint contests on the card, the Handicap Stakes (Class 5) was won by SOLAR EDGE for trainer Christopher Mason. Gina Mangan partnered the winner, who raced in the colours of Taylor, Hodges and Mason and posted a winning time of 1m 00.56s. THE THAMES BOATMAN finished second, while TOOLATETONEGOTIATE claimed third after another competitive finish.
Delivering a measured performance over the middle-distance trip, the Signs Express Handicap Stakes (Class 4) saw CANDONOMORE score for Stuart Williams under Sean Levey. Owned by Mrs J. Morley, the winner completed the race in 1m 38.70s after moving strongly through the closing stages. NAKAAHA finished second ahead of HAPPY BANNER in third.
Bringing the meeting to its conclusion, the Signs Express Proudly Support Bath Racecourse Handicap Stakes (Class 6) was won by TAKEITORLEAVEIT for trainer Jonathan Portman and jockey Rob Hornby. Representing Berkeley Racing, the winner recorded a time of 1m 40.66s to close the evening programme on a solid note. DENBY’S DREAM secured second place, while MALI STAR completed the placings in third.
