The electric atmosphere of the season’s return reached its peak in the 5th race at Bangalore Turf Club, where the highlight event of the opening day — The Rajyotsava Trophy, a Class I contest for horses three years old and over, run over 1400 metres at 4:00 PM on Saturday, 01 November 2025 — delivered a dramatic and crowd-roaring finish. Racing enthusiasts tracking Bangalore Race Results November 1 witnessed a performance of power and precision as Galahad (Jockey: Antony Raj S.) stormed to victory for trainer S. S. Attaollahi, stopping the clock at 1:23.76. Running in the silks of Sarainaga Racing Pvt Ltd, M/s DT Racing & Breeding LLP, Mr Mukul A. Sonawala, Mr S. R. Sanas, and Mr Inderraj Anand, the classy gelding secured a striking win that brought the stands alive.

Breaking alertly from the gates, Galahad settled confidently into third position behind the early pacemakers, travelling comfortably through the backstretch. Jockey Antony Raj, cool and calculated, allowed the leaders to stretch out before making his move at the top of the home turn. With a perfectly timed acceleration entering the final furlong, Galahad swept past the front-runners under hands-and-heels urging, drawing away in the closing strides to register an emphatic and stylish triumph.

Imperial Blue (Jockey: Arvind Kumar N., Trainer: Irfan Ghatala) delivered a strong late run but had to settle for second, clocking 1:24.21, unable to match the winner’s explosive finish in the final 100 metres. Just behind came Kalamitsi (Jockey: Vivek G., Trainer: S. S. Attaollahi) in 1:24.36, ensuring a double podium celebration for the Attaollahi yard and confirming the stable’s early dominance on the first day of the winter season.

As the applause for Galahad echoed around the grandstand, attention now turns to the 6th race of the afternoon — The Jayanth Shah Memorial Trophy, scheduled for 4:30 PM, promising another gripping chapter in Bangalore’s vibrant winter racing calendar.
