Saturday afternoon at the Bangalore Winter Meeting, 3rd day, saw an exhilarating Class IV contest as the 4th Race – The Hebbe Falls Plate – unfolded over 1400m at 03:00 PM. Master Way, ridden by Asirvatham, trained by Umar Shariff. S, and owned by Mr M Sridhar & M/S Seabliss Racing LLP, stormed to victory in a brilliant display of speed and timing, stopping the clock at 1:26.24. Master Way’s performance reinforced his reputation as a powerful finisher in Class IV company.
From the start, Master Way settled just off the early pace, tracking the leaders with composure. In the final 300m, he accelerated decisively, pulling clear to leave the competition behind. The gelding’s well-timed surge showcased both his strength and tactical intelligence, giving the crowd an unforgettable finish.
Runner-up honours went to EL ALAMEIN (J: Pavan, T: Faraz Arshad), finishing in 1:27.34 after a strong chase, while GANDOLFINI (J: P. Trevor, T: K. Purshotham) closed strongly to take third in 1:27.58. The top three were separated by just over a second, emphasizing the competitive nature of the Hebbe Falls Plate.
With Master Way’s triumph celebrated, all eyes quickly turned to the 5th Race – The Sports Authority of India Trophy – set for 03:30 PM, promising another thrilling contest for racing enthusiasts.
