Bangalore Summer Races Day 11 wraps up with Darrion’s confident win in the Prabalo Plate

Darrion surges to victory under Vivek G. in The Prabalo Plate, the final race on Day 11 of the Bangalore Summer Meeting at BTC, capping off an exciting day of Indian flat racing on June 21, 2025.

The curtain came down on Day 11 of the Bangalore Summer Meeting with the running of The Prabalo Plate, a 1200-meter handicap for horses rated 20 to 45, offering a prize purse of ₹5,10,000. The race, scheduled at 5:00 PM at the Bangalore Turf Club, brought a fitting close to a day filled with competitive racing.

Darrion, trained by Pradeep Annaiah and ridden to precision by Vivek G., finished strongly to clinch the final race of the afternoon by timing at 1:13.30. The horse is owned by Mr. P. Arun Kumar.

Silver Quest, from the yard of M. Rajendra Singh and partnered by Prashant P. Dhebe, secured the runner-up spot in 1:13.33.

Perfect Attitude, trained by Arjun Mangalorkar and guided by A. Sandesh, completed the top-three after finishing in 1:13.38.

With all eight races completed, the Saturday card at BTC ends on a high note. Attention now shifts to Sunday, June 22nd, where another action-packed race day awaits. The highlight will be the prestigious Zavaray S. Poonawalla Colts Championship Stakes, a 1600-meter classic for 3-year-olds, offering a rich prize of ₹49,50,000. Racing events begins at 1:30 PM and concludes at 5:00 PM.
