The third race of the afternoon at the Bangalore Summer Meeting was the Yeravada Stud Plate, a 1400-metre handicap for horses rated 40 to 65, four years old and over. Scheduled at 3:10 pm, the race carried a winners’ prize of ₹6,30,000 at the Bangalore Turf Club.
Rieko delivered a confident run to land the race under K. Sai Kiran, trained by Pradeep Annaiah. The pair hit the front in the final stages and stayed on well to clock 1:28.17, securing a well-earned win for owner Mr. P. Arun Kumar.
Finishing second was Chardikala, partnered by A. Sandesh for trainer Altamash Ahmed. The runner-up put up a strong challenge, crossing the line in 1:28.31, just 0.14 seconds behind the winner in what turned out to be a competitive renewal.
Forest Fragrance, trained by Vijay Singh and ridden by Hindu Singh, completed the frame with a timing of 1:28.41, staying in touch throughout and showing consistency under pressure.
