The 1200-metre race, carrying a lucrative purse of ₹11,00,000, featured a talented group of maiden contenders eager to announce their arrival on the big stage.
Flight of Fancy emerged as the most impressive, registering a fluent win in 1:12.58 under a well-judged ride by Vivek G., trained by Darius R. Byramji. Racing in the colours of Capt Jamshed J. Appoo , Mr Kersi H. Vachha , Mr Ashok Ranpise & Mr S. R. Sanas & Sarainaga Racing Pvt Ltd, Mr Darius R. Byramji, the runner made a decisive move in the final furlong to secure the honours with authority.
In a close finish, Romping Home, guided by Yash Narredu and trained by Deepesh Narredu, made a bold attempt but had to settle for second, just behind the winner with a timing of 1:12.76.
Divine Secret produced a consistent effort to take third place, timed at 1:12.99, with A. Sandesh in the saddle for trainer R. H. Sequeira.
