Saturday’s 3rd day of the Bangalore Winter Meeting witnessed an electrifying contest in the 4th Race – The Hebbe Falls Plate – a Class IV 1400m event held at 03:00 PM. In a performance that had spectators cheering, Master Way (J: Asirvatham, T: Umar Shariff. S), owned by Mr M Sridhar & M/S Seabliss Racing LLP, surged to a commanding victory, stopping the clock at 1:26.24. Master Way broke smoothly and settled just behind the early leaders, conserving energy while maintaining a strategic position. As the field entered the final 300 metres, he unleashed a decisive burst of speed, overtaking rivals with surgical precision. His well-timed acceleration demonstrated both power and tactical nous, leaving the crowd in awe of the gelding’s finishing prowess.
Runner-up honours went to EL ALAMEIN (J: Pavan, T: Faraz Arshad), who closed strongly to finish in 1:27.34, while GANDOLFINI (J: P. Trevor, T: K. Purshotham) finished a close third in 1:27.58. The top three were separated by just over a second, highlighting the tight and competitive nature of the Hebbe Falls Plate.
With Master Way’s triumph celebrated, racing fans now turn their attention to the 5th Race – The Sports Authority of India Trophy, scheduled for 03:30 PM, promising another exciting contest.
