Guided confidently by jockey Akshay Kumar and trained by Darius R. Byramji, the winner stopped the clock in 1:33.32 while carrying the colours of Mr Mukul A Sonawala, Mr Girish Mehta, Ms DT Racing & Breeding LLP and So Blest Trading Co Pvt Ltd. The early Bangalore race result 9 May headlines immediately placed PLEDGE among the standout performers of the afternoon card.
PLEDGE travelled comfortably through the early stages before Akshay Kumar gradually improved position approaching the final bend. Once asked for an effort in the straight, the gelding responded impressively, quickening clear inside the closing furlong and maintaining momentum to seal victory with authority. The fluent turn of foot proved decisive as the field attempted to challenge late.
ASSURANCES finished second after a determined run under Suraj Narredu for trainer Rajesh Narredu, clocking 1:33.95 while staying on strongly in the final stages. ALAMGIR, partnered by Pavan and trained by Irfan Ghatala, completed the placings in third with a time of 1:34.19 after keeping on steadily throughout the contest.
