The opening contest of the Bangalore Summer Meeting, 12th day, Sunday, 7th June 2026, at Bangalore Turf Club (BTC) – Bangalore Turf Club saw Glorious Strides produce a determined performance to land the 1st race, The Mystic Memory Plate, a Class III event for horses rated 40 to 65 run over 1400 metres at 2:30 PM. Partnered by Neeraj Rawal and trained by S. Narredu, the winner stopped the clock at 1:25.52 while carrying the colours of Mr Daulat Chhabria, Mr Teja Gollapudi and Mr Ashok Ranpise. The performance provided an early highlight on the card and added an important chapter to the Bangalore race result 7th June story from the city’s premier racing venue.
Glorious Strides travelled strongly throughout the journey and was produced at the right moment in the straight by Neeraj Rawal. Responding gamely under pressure, the S. Narredu-trained runner found enough in the closing stages to fend off a sustained challenge and secure victory by the narrowest of margins in a thrilling finish to the afternoon’s opening race.
The runner-up spot went to Eagle Eye (J: Akshay Kumar, T: Pradeep Annaiah), who finished just a fraction behind the winner in 1:25.62 after making a strong bid in the final furlong. Hazel (J: Antony Raj S., T: Prasanna Kumar) stayed on well to claim third place, clocking 1:26.09, ensuring a competitive finish among the leading trio.
With the curtain-raiser complete, attention now shifts to The Nandi Plate, scheduled for 3:00 PM, as the Bangalore Summer Meeting continues to build towards the feature attractions later in the day.
