The Bangalore Turf Club (BTC) continued the Bangalore Summer Meeting, 20th day, on Sunday, 5th July 2026, with the 3rd Race, The A.M.C. Gowda Memorial Trophy, a Class III contest for horses rated 40 to 65 over 1200 metres, run at 3:30 PM. In another impressive Bangalore race result 5th July, ENCINO, ridden confidently by A. Sandesh, produced a polished front-running performance to score for trainer Adhiraj Singh Jodha, stopping the clock in 1:10.06. Racing in the colours of Gainsville Stud & Agrl Farm Pvt Ltd, Mr Kishore Rungta, Mr S R Sanas, and Mr Ajay K Arora, the winner delivered a decisive display from start to finish.

ENCINO travelled fluently throughout the six-furlong journey before quickening smartly in the straight to keep his rivals at bay. A. Sandesh judged the pace to perfection, positioning the gelding ideally before asking for his final effort inside the closing stages. The response was immediate, allowing ENCINO to stretch clear and secure a convincing victory, underlining both his speed and professionalism in competitive Class III company.
GLORIOUSNESS, partnered by Suraj Narredu and trained by S. Narredu, chased the winner throughout and stayed on gamely to finish second in 1:11.23. SEE THE LIGHT, ridden by Akshay Kumar for trainer S.S. Attaollahi, produced a respectable late effort to claim third in 1:11.64, completing the placings after a competitive sprint contest.
With another quality race added to the afternoon’s programme, attention now turns to the prestigious The Maharaja’s Gold Cup, scheduled for 4:00 PM, where the day’s feature contest is expected to provide another thrilling spectacle.
