The Bangalore Turf Club (BTC) staged another competitive contest during the Bangalore Summer Meeting (19th Day) on Saturday, 4th July 2026, as The D.M. Kumaraswamy Memorial Trophy, the 4th Race, brought together Class III horses rated 40 to 65 over 1600 metres at 4:00 PM. MANWAR, ridden with confidence by Vivek G., produced a polished performance to score in 1:37.79 for trainer P. S. Chouhan, giving owners Mr Marthand Singh Mahindra & Mrs Rina Mahindra a memorable victory. The Bangalore race result 4th July continued to underline the quality and competitiveness of the afternoon’s racing programme at BTC.
Settled comfortably through the early stages, MANWAR travelled fluently before quickening impressively in the straight. Vivek G. judged the pace to perfection, allowing the gelding to produce a decisive burst when it mattered most. The well-timed challenge proved enough to put the race beyond doubt, with the P. S. Chouhan-trained runner finishing strongly to register a convincing success over the mile.
CIRCLE OF DREAMS ran an admirable race to claim second in 1:38.22 under Akshay Kumar for trainer S.S. Attaollahi, staying on well without quite matching the winner’s finishing kick. HAZEL, partnered by Antony Raj S. and trained by Prasanna Kumar, completed the placings in 1:38.95 after keeping on steadily in the closing stages.
With another competitive contest completed, attention at the Bangalore Summer Meeting now turns to The Skyline Plate Div II, scheduled for 4:30 PM, where another closely fought finish is expected.
