The Bangalore Turf Club (BTC) witnessed an exciting finish in the 8th race of the Bangalore Summer Meeting, 28th day, Friday, 31st July 2026, as The Champion Jockey Cup DIV I, a Class IV race for horses rated 20 to 45 over 1200 metres, was held at 4:30 PM. In the latest Bangalore race result 31st July, WAITARA produced a determined performance under jockey Antony Raj S. to secure victory for trainer Arjun Mangalorkar, representing the ownership of The Rajagiri Rubber & Produce Company Limited rep by Mr & Mrs Dilip Thomas, clocking an impressive time of 1:12.63.
WAITARA displayed excellent pace judgement throughout the contest and travelled smoothly before making his decisive move in the final stages. Guided confidently by Antony Raj S., the winner found the necessary acceleration in the closing furlong and held his rivals at bay to complete a well-earned success. The Arjun Mangalorkar-trained runner showed strong finishing ability to prevail in a closely fought sprint event.
The runner-up position went to INCREDIBLE LUCK (J: Yash Narredu, T: Rajesh Narredu), who gave a strong challenge and finished close behind the winner with a timing of 1:12.89. POWER OF THE SEA (J: Pavan, T: Prasanna Kumar) secured third place after completing the race in 1:12.98, keeping the contest competitive until the final strides.
With the Champion Jockey Cup DIV I concluded, attention now moves towards the Champion Jockey Cup DIV II, scheduled at 5:00 PM, as the Bangalore Summer Meeting continues with more quality racing action.
