The opening race of the Bangalore Summer Meeting, 9th day at Bangalore Turf Club (BTC), set the tone on Saturday, 30 May 2026, as A GREAT BUZZ produced a polished front-running performance to land The Udhagamandalam Plate, the Maiden: Horses 3 years old only contest over 1200 metres at 02:00 PM. The result also features in the Bangalore race result 30 May records, marking a sharp start to the card for trainer Irfan Ghatala and winning jockey Pavan, with the colt delivering under the ownership of Mr Saleem A Jasdanwalla, Mr Deepak S Suryavanshi, Mr J Ramesh, and Ms Ajaad Stud and Livestock OPC Pvt Ltd.
Racing over the sharp sprint trip, A GREAT BUZZ was quickly into stride and settled in a forward position, travelling with intent throughout the early stages. Pavan ensured the colt was always within striking range before asking for an effort approaching the final furlong. Once switched into top gear, A GREAT BUZZ responded strongly, asserting authority in the closing stages to pull clear and seal a confident maiden victory in 1:15.47.
Behind the winner, PERFECT DREAM (A. Sandesh, S.S. Attaollahi) ran a commendable race to finish second, clocking 1:15.74 after staying on steadily from mid-division. EVOLVITA (Darshan R.N, S. Narredu) secured third place in 1:16.32, rounding off a competitive top-three finish in the opening contest.
