Racing at the Bangalore Turf Club (BTC), officially known as the Bangalore Turf Club Limited, continued with an exciting finish in The Karnataka Sub-Area Cup during the Bangalore Summer Meeting, 18th day, on Sunday, 28th June 2026. The 5th race, a Class II event for horses rated 60 to 85, was contested over 1400 metres at 04:00 PM, where VEGATHA produced a powerful performance to secure victory. Owned by MS Cherie Sports Pvt Ltd rep by Mrs Smita Bajoria and Mr Cheriyan Abraham, VEGATHA, guided by jockey Antony Raj S. and trained by P. S. Chouhan, clocked an impressive time of 1:23.65.
The latest Bangalore race result 28th June highlighted a well-judged tactical display as VEGATHA settled into the contest before making a strong move when it mattered most. Under the confident handling of Antony Raj S., the winner showed excellent acceleration in the final stages and edged ahead to secure the Karnataka Sub-Area Cup with authority.
The runner-up position went to LUX AETERNA (J: Akshay Kumar, T: S.S. Attaollahi), who fought strongly throughout and finished close behind the winner with a timing of 1:23.78. VICTORIA DORESAANI (J: L. Alex Rozario, T: Irfan Ghatala) completed the top three, recording 1:24.32 after a competitive effort over the 1400-metre journey.
