The Bangalore Turf Club (BTC) hosted the second race of the Bangalore Summer Meeting, 18th Day, on Sunday, 28th June 2026, as The Mahalakshmi Plate, a Class V race for horses rated 00 to 25 over 1600 metres, was run at 2:30 PM. In another exciting Bangalore race result 28th June, MICHIKO produced a determined performance under P. Kiran Rai to claim victory for trainer G. Y. Rajesh Babu, stopping the clock at 1:39.79. Racing in the colours of Mr Amarjeet Singh Narula, the winner delivered an impressive display from start to finish.

Settled comfortably during the early stages, MICHIKO travelled fluently throughout the mile before quickening approaching the home straight. Jockey P. Kiran Rai judged the pace to perfection, asking the gelding for maximum effort at the right moment. The response was immediate as MICHIKO stretched clear inside the final furlong, maintaining a strong gallop to secure a convincing victory.
SEA DIAMOND finished second after a creditable effort, with Vishal Shivhare in the saddle for trainer Umar Shariff S., clocking 1:40.47. RISING FORM, partnered by Faizan Khan and trained by Imtiaz Khan, stayed on well to take third in 1:40.55, completing the placings after another competitive finish.
With the second race concluded, attention now turns to The Richelieu Stakes, scheduled for 3:00 PM, where another competitive contest awaits as the Bangalore Summer Meeting continues to build towards its feature events.
