Bangalore Turf Club (BTC) continued the action-packed Bangalore Summer Meeting, 17th Day, on Saturday, 27th June 2026, with the 6th race, The Malakpet Plate, a Class IV contest for horses rated 20 to 45 over 1300 metres. The Bangalore race result 27th June featured a polished display from SHINING WAYS, who stormed home under Suraj Narredu in 1:19.26 to hand trainer S. Narredu another success. The winner races in the colours of Mr Daulat Chhabria, Mr Teja Gollapudi, Dr Prabhakar Chowdary Tripuraneni and Mr Ashok Ranpise.

Settled comfortably through the early stages, SHINING WAYS travelled strongly before Suraj Narredu asked for a decisive effort approaching the final furlong. Responding willingly, the gelding quickened impressively to gain control and kept finding all the way to the winning post, rewarding the patience of his rider and confirming his superiority over the 1300-metre trip.
POWER OF THE SEA finished a commendable second for jockey Shamaz Shareef and trainer Prasanna Kumar, clocking 1:19.73 after staying on well in the closing stages. LASYA, partnered by Vishal N. Bunde for trainer Aravind G., completed the placings in 1:19.92, ensuring a competitive finish with the leading trio covered by less than a second.
The excitement at Bangalore Turf Club now moves to the Poonawalla Stud Plate DIV I, scheduled for 5:00 PM, where another competitive field is set to continue an entertaining day’s racing.
