Bangalore Turf Club (BTC) hosted the opening contest of the Bangalore Summer Meeting 17th Day on Saturday, 27th June 2026, with The Smart Chieftan Plate, a Maiden race for 3-year-old horses over 1400 metres. In the latest Bangalore race result 27th June, RAMPAGE produced a strong front-running performance to claim victory at 02:00 PM, stopping the clock at 1:25.10 for owners J M Livestock Pvt Ltd rep by Mr Jaydev M Mody.
Ridden confidently by jockey Yash Narredu and trained by Shazaan Shah, RAMPAGE showed excellent pace and determination throughout the 1400m contest. The three-year-old settled into a smooth rhythm before making his decisive move in the closing stages, finding enough strength in the final stretch to secure a convincing maiden win.
The race saw ASHWA NEW YORK finish runner-up under Suraj Narredu for trainer Rajesh Narredu, completing the distance in 1:25.51. SHINING PATH, guided by Akshay Kumar and trained by Darius R. Byramji, secured third place with a time of 1:25.96 after staying competitive until the finish.
With the opening race concluded, attention now turns towards the next event on the Bangalore card, The Poonawalla Stud Plate DIV II, scheduled for 02:30 PM as the Summer Meeting action continues.
