Bangalore Turf Club (BTC) witnessed another thrilling contest during the Bangalore Summer Meeting, 17th Day, on Saturday, 27th June 2026, as the 7th Race, The Poonawalla Stud Plate DIV I, a Class III event for horses rated 40 to 65 over 1200 metres, was run at 5:00 PM. In an impressive performance, KABALI, ridden confidently by A.R. Pradeep and trained by G Sandhu, surged to victory in 1:11.48 for owner Mr Santhosh P. The Bangalore race result 27th June once again showcased the competitive depth and quality on display throughout the afternoon’s programme.
Breaking smartly from the gates, KABALI settled into an ideal position before travelling strongly into the straight. A.R. Pradeep waited patiently before asking the gelding for his final effort, and the response was immediate as KABALI quickened decisively inside the final furlong. Despite determined challenges from the chasing pack, the winner maintained a comfortable advantage to register a polished success and add another notable victory to trainer G Sandhu’s tally.
FELISA, partnered by Arvind Kumar. N for trainer Irfan Ghatala, finished a creditable second after clocking 1:11.95, staying on well but unable to bridge the gap to the winner. AQUASTIC, ridden by S. Sachin and trained by S.S. Attaollahi, completed the podium in 1:12.04, producing a respectable late run in a closely contested finish for the minor placings.
With another competitive race concluded, attention now shifts to the remaining highlights of the Bangalore Summer Meeting as racing enthusiasts look forward to the day’s concluding contests.
