Racing resumed at Bangalore Turf Club (BTC) on Saturday, 25 July 2026, as the 25th day of the Bangalore Summer Meeting opened with four competitive races that tested stamina, speed and tactical judgment. The Bangalore race result 25th July saw BLUE SAINT, CHARACTER, BORN TO RISE, and AGERA begin the day’s winners’ list with polished performances.
The afternoon commenced with the 1st Race – The Brave Dancer Plate, a Class V contest for horses rated 00 to 25 over 1800 metres, run at 2:00 PM. BLUE SAINT, ridden confidently by Vivek, produced a well-measured effort to score for trainer Azhar Ali, clocking 1:56.83. Racing in the colours of Mr Waseem Dadapeer, Mr Rohit Raman & Mr Syed Imranuddin Mujahid, the winner settled comfortably before producing a decisive finishing run to open the day’s programme on a winning note.
The pace remained honest throughout the mile-and-an-eighth journey, with BLUE SAINT travelling smoothly before asserting inside the final stages. Vivek timed his challenge perfectly, allowing the gelding to pull clear when it mattered most and secure a convincing victory.
MAGNA CARTA finished second in 1:57.12 under Antony Raj S. for trainer James McKeown, while BRUCE ALMIGHTY, partnered by Akshay Kumar and trained by Faraz Arshad, completed the placings in 1:57.31.
Attention then shifted to the 2nd Race – The Camineto Plate DIV II, scheduled for 2:30 PM.
The 2nd Race – The Camineto Plate DIV II was a Class IV event for horses rated 20 to 45 over 1200 metres, conducted at 2:30 PM. CHARACTER, ridden by Rafique S K, delivered a determined sprint to claim victory for trainer Warren Singh in 1:13.28. The winner raced for owner Mr Dinesh Kumar K, producing a composed display over the six-furlong trip.
CHARACTER travelled prominently throughout before quickening approaching the closing stages. Rafique S K kept the horse balanced under pressure as the pair held off late challengers to secure a deserved success.
ROCKING STAR, ridden by L. Alex Rozario for trainer Pradeep Annaiah, finished second in 1:13.44, while ANNABELLE, with Antony Raj S. aboard for trainer Arjun Mangalorkar, filled third in 1:13.87.
The day’s programme then moved to the 3rd Race – The Red Divine Plate, scheduled for 3:00 PM.
The 3rd Race – The Red Divine Plate, a Maiden race for three-year-old horses only over 1100 metres, was run at 3:00 PM. BORN TO RISE, partnered by Suraj Narredu, justified expectations with an authoritative maiden success for trainer S. Narredu, stopping the clock in 1:05.71. The promising youngster races in the colours of Mr Teja Gollapudi, Mr Daulat Chhabria, Mr Ashok Ranpise & Dr Prabhakar Chowdary Tripuraneni, and Mr Raghu S.
After travelling comfortably through the early stages, BORN TO RISE responded strongly when asked for maximum effort, stretching clear inside the closing furlong to register an impressive first career victory.
GARZIAN, ridden by V.R. Jagadeesh for trainer V. Lokanath, chased home the winner in 1:07.19, while BELLUCCI, with L. Alex Rozario aboard for trainer Irfan Ghatala, finished third in 1:07.36.
Focus then turned to the 4th Race – The Camineto Plate DIV I, scheduled for 3:30 PM.
The 4th Race – The Camineto Plate DIV I, another Class IV race for horses rated 20 to 45 over 1200 metres, got underway at 3:30 PM. AGERA, ridden by L. Alex Rozario, produced a determined performance to prevail for trainer Pradeep Annaiah in 1:13.83. The winner carried the colours of Mr V Shankar and displayed grit throughout the sprint.
AGERA travelled prominently before engaging in a sustained battle over the final furlong. Rozario kept the gelding focused under pressure, finding enough in reserve to hold off the fast-finishing challengers in a close finish.
HUSHED, partnered by A. Ashhad Asbar for trainer V. Lokanath, finished second in 1:13.97, while ZAYANA, ridden by Pavan for trainer Irfan Ghatala, completed the podium in 1:14.10.
With the opening four races completed, attention now turns to the day’s principal sprint feature, the S.M. Cama Music and Production Pvt. Ltd. Bangalore City Sprint Championship Gold Cup, scheduled for 4:00 PM, where some of the meeting’s leading sprinters are set to clash.
