The Bangalore Turf Club (BTC) , witnessed another competitive contest during the Bangalore Summer Meeting’s sixth day on Sunday, 17 May 2026, as Elysium produced a polished performance to land Race No. 6, The Racing Patrons Plate, a Class III event for horses rated 40 to 65 over 1400 metres at 5:30 PM. Representing M/s. DT Racing & Breeding LLP, Mr Mukul A. Sonawala, Mr S. R. Sanas and Sarainaga Racing Pvt Ltd, Elysium delivered a sharp finish under Akshay Kumar for trainer S.S. Attaollahi, clocking 1:24.89 in an authoritative display. The latest Bangalore race result 17 May card continued to showcase tightly fought finishes and strong tactical riding throughout the afternoon.
Settled comfortably through the early stages, Elysium travelled fluently behind the pace before Akshay Kumar angled the gelding into striking position approaching the final bend. Once balanced in the straight, the winner responded willingly and quickened decisively inside the final furlong, asserting superiority with a sustained burst that left the chasing pack struggling to match strides. Trainer S.S. Attaollahi’s charge displayed both composure and acceleration, qualities that proved decisive in the closing stages of the seven-furlong contest.
Hazel finished second with P. Trevor in the saddle for trainer Prasanna Kumar, stopping the clock at 1:25.86 after staying on gamely in pursuit of the winner. Silicon Star secured third place for jockey Antony Raj S. and trainer V. Lokanath in a time of 1:26.09, completing the frame after a competitive stretch run among the placed runners.
