The second race of the Bangalore Summer Meeting on Sunday, 14th June 2026, at Bangalore Turf Club (BTC),saw TYAARAA produce a determined performance to capture The Malenahalli Plate, a Class V contest for horses rated 00 to 25 run over 1600 metres. Contested at 2:00 PM, the race delivered one of the closest finishes of the afternoon as TYAARAA, ridden by Antony Raj S. and trained by Faraz Arshad, stopped the clock in 1:43.82. Carrying the colours of M/S Cherie Sports Pvt Ltd & Mr Hothur Sajjad Wahab, the winner displayed grit and resilience to secure a narrow success.
In what proved to be a memorable Bangalore race result 14th June, TYAARAA settled into a comfortable rhythm during the early stages before being asked for an effort approaching the home straight. Responding gamely under Antony Raj S., the gelding found extra reserves in the closing strides and held off a sustained challenge in a dramatic finish. The Faraz Arshad-trained runner showed admirable determination, digging deep when pressure arrived late to claim the prize by the slimmest of margins.
The runner-up position went to SEA DIAMOND, who finished just fractions behind the winner in 1:43.86. Ridden by Md Ashraf Reza and trained by Umar Shariff. S, SEA DIAMOND launched a strong late bid and was unfortunate not to get up in the final stride. AGAPE completed the placings, finishing third in 1:44.45 for jockey S. Sachin and trainer Azhar Ali, staying on steadily to secure a place on the podium.
With The Malenahalli Plate now in the books, attention turns to the third race of the afternoon, The Treasure Girl Plate, scheduled for 2:30 PM, as the competitive action continues at Bangalore Turf Club.
