The second race of the Bangalore Summer Meeting, 13th Day, held at Bangalore Turf Club (BTC) – Bangalore Turf Club, saw RIVER DEEP deliver a polished performance to claim The Sir Cecil Plate DIV II, a Class IV contest for horses rated 20 to 45 run over 1200 metres on Saturday, 13th June 2026. Ridden confidently by A. Ashhad Asbar and trained by V. Lokanath, the winner stopped the clock at 1:15.73 while racing in the colours of Mr Md Minhaj Raza.
The Bangalore race result 13th June highlighted another impressive sprinting display as RIVER DEEP settled comfortably through the early stages before producing a decisive finishing effort when the field entered the home straight. Showing excellent pace and determination, the eventual winner responded strongly to jockey A. Ashhad Asbar’s urgings and maintained a clear advantage in the closing strides to secure victory.
ABSOLUTE KATRINA finished a creditable second for jockey K. Sai Kiran and trainer Joseph B Awale, crossing the line in 1:16.28 after staying on well in pursuit of the winner. FLASH, partnered by Bhawani Singh and prepared by Aravind G., completed the placings in third with a time of 1:16.35, ensuring a competitive finish among the leading trio.
With The Sir Cecil Plate DIV II concluded, attention now shifts to the upcoming The Snow Dew Plate DIV I, scheduled for 3:00 PM, where another competitive field will look to make its mark on an action-packed afternoon at Bangalore Turf Club.
