The Bangalore Turf Club (BTC) hosted 22nd day of Bangalore Summer Meeting 2026, today Sunday, 12th July 2026, with the 1st Race – The Hyderabad Salver, a Class III event for horses rated 40 to 65 over 1400 metres, getting underway at 12:45 PM. In the opening Bangalore race result 12th July, Starzella produced an impressive performance to score under Antony Raj S. for trainer Prasanna Kumar, stopping the clock in 1:23.37. The winner raced in the colours of Capt Jamshed J. Appoo, Mr K. Narayan, Dr N. Swaroop Kumar & Ms Blazing Saddles PF, and Mr Rustam Phiroze Mehta, giving the ownership group an excellent start to the afternoon.
Breaking smartly and settling into a comfortable rhythm, Starzella travelled strongly throughout the journey before responding willingly in the straight. Antony Raj S. timed his challenge to perfection, allowing the mare to lengthen stride inside the closing stages and secure a convincing victory while maintaining a decisive advantage over the chasing pack.
Sicyon finished second in 1:23.92, with Yash Narredu in the saddle for trainer S.S. Attaollahi, after staying on well through the final furlong. Stablemate Valiant Stream, also prepared by S.S. Attaollahi and partnered by Akshay Kumar, completed the placings in 1:24.11, ensuring a strong showing for the yard in the opening race.
Attention now turns to the The Indian Pattern Committee Trophy Div I, scheduled for 1:15 PM, as the Bangalore Summer Meeting continues with another competitive contest on an action-packed afternoon.
