The meeting will commence with the opening race at 2:30 PM and conclude at 5:00 PM, while the prestigious Maharaja’s Gold Cup, carrying total prize money of ₹33,00,000, will headline the afternoon. Alongside the feature event, the card will include races for maiden horses and handicappers across multiple classes, ensuring a well-balanced schedule.

Opening the afternoon’s programme, The Lagarde Plate will be staged at 2:30 PM. The Class II contest for horses rated 60 to 85 will be contested over 1200 metres and will offer a total purse of ₹7,00,000. The race will provide an early opportunity for accomplished sprinters to make a winning start to the meeting while setting the tone for the afternoon’s proceedings.
Attention will then turn to emerging three-year-old talent in The R. R. Byramji Memorial Plate, scheduled for 3:00 PM. Run over 1200 metres, the maiden event will carry prize money of ₹11,00,000 and will give lightly raced horses the opportunity to register their first career success in competitive company.
The programme will continue to build momentum with The A.M.C. Gowda Memorial Trophy at 3:30 PM. The Class III handicap for horses rated 40 to 65 will also be contested over 1200 metres and will offer a purse of ₹6,30,000. A competitive field is expected to ensure another closely matched sprint before attention shifts to the day’s principal attraction.
Centre stage will then belong to the prestigious The Maharaja’s Gold Cup, which will be run at 4:00 PM over 2200 metres for horses aged four years and above. Worth ₹33,00,000, the feature race will assemble an accomplished field comprising REDEFINED (Akshay Kumar), RAMIEL (A. Sandesh), ZUCCARO (Vivek G.), MIRACLE STAR (Suraj Narredu), MAYNE MAGIC (Antony Raj S.), POSITANO (Shreyas Singh), GOLDEN THUNDER (C. Umesh), ALFONSINE (A. Ashhad Asbar), STAR OF NIGHT (Neeraj Rawal), KINGS GAMBIT (Yash Narredu), GOLD EMPIRE (Vinod Shinde), PROKOFIEV (Prashant P. Dhebe) and AZALEA (K. Pranil). The staying contest will bring together experienced performers and progressive campaigners, making it the undisputed highlight of Sunday’s programme.
Following the feature contest, the focus will return to handicap company with The Galilee Plate at 4:30 PM. The Class IV race for horses rated 20 to 45 will be run over 1800 metres with total prize money of ₹5,10,000. The middle-distance event will add further variety to the afternoon and will provide another competitive examination for developing runners.
Bringing the meeting to its conclusion, The Southern Empire Plate will be contested at 5:00 PM. Another Class IV contest for horses rated 20 to 45, it will be run over 1400 metres and will also offer ₹5,10,000 in prize money. The closing race will complete a programme that combines quality handicaps, an informative maiden event and a prestigious staying feature.
The six-race fixture will present opportunities for horses across a range of classes and distances while placing the spotlight firmly on the Maharaja’s Gold Cup.
