At the prestigious Bangalore Turf Club (BTC), a competitive seven-race programme will be staged on Saturday, 27 June, featuring a balanced mix of maiden, handicap and feature contests. The afternoon fixture will cover distances from 1200 metres to 2000 metres and will offer more than Rs.67 lakh in total prize money. The Managing Committee Gold Cup and the S.M. Cama Music and Production Pvt Ltd Juvenile Sprinters’ Million will headline the meeting, while the supporting races will provide opportunities for horses across multiple classes and ratings.

Opening the afternoon’s programme, The Smart Chieftan Plate will be contested at 2:00 PM over 1400 metres. Restricted to maiden three-year-old horses, the opening event will carry total prize money of Rs.11,00,000 and will provide several emerging runners with an opportunity to register their first career victory. The contest will serve as an important starting point for the day’s racing schedule.

The sprint division will then take centre stage with The Poonawalla Stud Plate Div II at 2:30 PM. The 1200-metre Class III contest for horses rated between 40 and 65 will offer Rs.6,30,000 in prize money and is expected to produce another competitive contest as experienced handicap performers bid to add another success to their records.

Attention will subsequently shift to the staying performers in The Astronomic Plate, scheduled for 3:00 PM. Run over 2000 metres for Class III horses rated between 40 and 65, the race will carry a purse of Rs.6,30,000 and will test stamina over the longest distance of the afternoon up to that stage of the programme.

The feature attraction of the meeting will arrive next with The Managing Committee Gold Cup at 3:30 PM. The prestigious Class I contest will be run over 1600 metres for horses rated 80 and above and will offer total prize money of Rs.11,00,000. The race is expected to showcase several accomplished performers and will stand as one of the day’s principal highlights.

The spotlight will then turn to the richest contest on the card as The S.M. Cama Music and Production Pvt Ltd Juvenile Sprinters’ Million will be staged at 4:00 PM. The 1200-metre feature for three-year-old horses will offer a total purse of Rs.21,22,500. The expected field will include BUREVESTNIK (A. Sandesh), IRON MIRAGE (Akshay Kumar), A GREAT BUZZ (Pavan), SHRISHTI (Yash Narredu) and VEERA’S PRINCESS (Shamaz Shareef), ensuring one of the strongest juvenile contests on the programme.

As the afternoon moves towards its conclusion, The Malakpet Plate will be run at 4:30 PM over 1300 metres. Open to Class IV horses rated between 20 and 45, the contest will carry prize money of Rs.5,10,000 and will provide another competitive opportunity for developing handicap performers.

Bringing the day’s racing to a close, The Poonawalla Stud Plate Div I will be staged at 5:00 PM. The concluding Class III contest over 1200 metres for horses rated between 40 and 65 will also offer Rs.6,30,000 in prize money, completing a varied and competitive seven-race programme at Bangalore Turf Club.

The Saturday fixture will present a well-balanced card featuring promising young horses, experienced handicappers and elite Class I performers. With substantial prize money across every division and two high-profile feature races, the meeting will provide an important domestic racing programme to conclude the week’s action at Bangalore Turf Club.
